This is PART 1 of the waiver eligibility training and is open to all medical students. This live webcast must be viewed in its entirety of 4.25-hours in order to advance to Part 2. Please be aware that it is MANDATORY that you are able to view and hear the presentation and participate in all interactive activities such as polling questions and case studies, in order for the AOAAM to verify your attendance. The combined live webcast (part 1) and online self-study training (part 2) will provide the required 8 hours needed to obtain the waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in office-based treatment of opioid dependence. Once participants receive their certificate of completion, they will need to hold on to it until they have their medical license and are eligible to apply for the waiver. At that time they will be asked to provide proof of training. Training certificates do not expire. Access to Part 2 will be emailed to you 48 hours after successful participation of Part 1 is verified. NOTE: This training has a starting time of 8:00 am Eastern Time Zone.
