Anthony Dekker, DO, FAOAAM
Tony is currently a member of the Primary Care Service Line at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in the Indian Health Service. He provides services in addiction and pain medicine, primary care and is part of the team working on the COVID epidemic. Previously he was at the Northern Arizona Veteran’s Administration Healthcare System in Prescott, Arizona. From 2010 to 2015, Tony was the director of the Department of Addiction Medicine at the Ft Belvoir Community Hospital, DoD. He was also the Associate Director of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center 1998-2010. He completed his Osteopathic education at Michigan State University in 1978. He completed his internship and family medicine residency at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and an Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. As a Public Health Service Scholar he served Chicago’s South Side for fourteen years. He was Professor and Chair of Family Medicine at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Dr. Dekker is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, Addiction Medicine and Pain Medicine.
Antoine Douaihy, MD
Dr. Douaihy is a Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine, Senior Academic Director of Addiction Medicine Services (AMS) and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Western Psychiatric Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and Co-Director of the Tobacco Treatment Service of UPMC. His areas of clinical and research expertise and interest are substance use disorders (SUDs) and SUDs co­ occurring with psychiatric disorders in adults and adolescents, psychiatric disorders in individuals with HIV/HCV, smoking cessation and psychosocial approaches, particularly motivational interviewing, and medication trials for co-occurring disorders, opioid and stimulant use disorders. He has a demonstrated record of expertise and experience in SUDs and a well-established record of leadership and expertise in conducting multi-site clinical trials. He has served as Principal Investigator (Pl), Co-I, or a consultant on studies funded by NIAAA, NIDA, NIMH, AFSP, NHLBI, HRSA, SAMHSA, and pharmaceutical industries. He served as a member of the Opioid Addiction Task Force (established by the U.S. District Attorney in Allegheny County) and the opioid addiction and recovery task force at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently the vice chair of Pittsburgh HIV Commission and a member of the physician work group on medical marijuana at the PA Department of Health.
Julie Kmiec, DO, FAOAAM
Julie Kmiec, DO, FAOAAM graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She completed her general psychiatry residency training and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) in Pittsburgh, PA. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She is board certified in general and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Kmiec is the Medical Director of the Ambulatory Detoxification Program and the Narcotic Addiction Treatment Program Buprenorphine Clinic at WPIC. Her clinical interests include treatment of drug and alcohol withdrawal, prevention of overdose, and medication assisted treatment of addictions. She is President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, 2019 & 2020.
Marla Kushner, DO, FAOAAM
Doctor Marla Kushner graduated from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI and completed an Adolescent Young Adult Medicine Fellowship at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital of Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. After her fellowship, Dr. Kushner began working with adolescent substance abuse facilities in Chicago and received certification and Addiction Medicine from the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is a distinguished fellow of ASAM. She is a diplomate in American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Kushner received her fellowship in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in March 2013 and is currently medical director of the Addiction Recovery Track at Insight Behavioral Health in Chicago and two high school-based health centers in Chicago. She has a family medicine practice with a focus on adolescent an addiction medicine.
R. Gregory Lande, DO,COL (Ret) FACN, FAOAAM
R. Gregory Lande, DO, COL (Ret) FACN, FAOAAM is a past president of the AOAAM and a prior board member. Dr. Lande retired from the US Army Medical Corps in recognition for which he received the Legion of Merit award. Dr. Lande then assumed a variety of administrative, clinical, academic, and research positions. Currently, Dr. Lande is a clinical supervisor and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Addictive Diseases. He is the author of over 100 articles, chapters, and books on a wide variety of medical and medical history subjects. His next book "United States Military Justice in the Civil War: Court-Martial Practices and Administration” will be released in 2025  and will be available at Amazon and other booksellers. 
Jon Lepley, DO
Jon Lepley, DO received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and he completed his Family Medicine residency training at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Addiction Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and he is recognized as a Certified Correctional Health Professional by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. He has been conferred Fellow status by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Lepley spent many formative years of practice providing healthcare within the Philadelphia Department of Prisons, wherein he pioneered a program which provides Medication Assisted Treatment to individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. His work in Philadelphia has been recognized by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia Section of Public Health and his program has been presented on a national level, garnering interest from large correctional systems across the country. Dr. Lepley’s clinical interests also include recognition of physician impairment and promotion of physician wellness. In this regard, he volunteers his time to serve on an Advisory Committee for the Pennsylvania Physician Health Program. His current professional role is with Penn Medicine as Medical Director of Addiction Medicine for the Lancaster General Health system.
William R. Morrone, DO, FAOAAM
William R. Morrone, D.O., M.S., MPH currently works as Assistant Director of Family Medicine at Synergy Medical Education Alliance (a division of MSU), Medical Director at Recovery Pathways, and as an addictionologist in the criminal justice system through 35th Circuit Drug Court. Dr. Morrone is a graduate of Michigan State University (MSUCOM) completing an internship in internal medicine and residency in family medicine. He is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners and certified by both American Academy of Pain Management and American Society of Addiction Medicine as a fellow. He also holds national certification as a Certified Pain Educator through the American Society of Pain Educators as well as Certified Forensic Physician through the American College of Forensic Examiners. He was a former National Health Service Corps Scholar and worked with the underserved population of inner city Saginaw. He also holds a graduate degree in toxicology and pharmacology from the University of Missouri at Kansas and currently serves as a Deputy Chief Medical Examiner.
Steven Wyatt, DO, FAOAAM
Steven Wyatt is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with added subspecialty certification in Addiction Psychiatry. He Completed a NIDA clinical research fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Addiction Medicine at Atrium Health. He is a CHS professor of psychiatry and an adjunct clinical faculty member of the University of North Carolina. He is the current chairman of the NC psychiatric Association Addiction Psychiatry Committee and the Vice Chair of the Coalition of Physician Education and Substance Use Disorders a national organization focused on addiction medicine medical school education. He participated in the writing of the ASAM Clinical Guidelines for Office Based Opioid Treatment. He is a clinical expert for both that UNC ECHO for Rural Primary Care MAT in North Carolina and the SAMHSA funded Provider Clinical Support System, PCSS; MAT and MIP projects.
