Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. William Morrone, DO, MPH, DABAM, FACOFP & DAAPM, is Medical Director at Recovery Pathways, investigator in a naloxone distribution for Mid-Michigan, Medical Director of 35th Circuit Shiawassee County Drug Court, Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine, Michigan State University for 18 years and was Program Director of Family Medicine at Synergy Medical Education Alliance and liaison in the Dept of Psychiatry. He is triple board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners and the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Morrone was a Ruth Fox faculty for the 42nd ASAM 2011 Medical-Scientific Conference Washington DC and is an active addiction educator and social advocate in pain management. Dr. Morrone is Director of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Court & commissioner on the Governor’s Impaired Driving Commission 2017-2019; he is also Assistant Prof Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
