  • Describe the current evidence for the use of medications for Alcohol Use Disorder (MAUD).

Dr. Melissa Weimer is a health care leader, physician and medical educator who is board certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Public Health at Yale School of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Yale Addiction Medicine Consult Service at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Weimer has transformed health care systems to improve the care they provide for individuals with substance use disorder. She is a nationally recognized medical educator and Medical Director of PCSS-MAUD, a SAMHSA funded educational program to increase access to medications for alcohol use disorder.
