  • Describe Acute HIV and basics of treatment.
  • Explain possible interactions between antiretroviral therapy and substance use.
  • Define ChemSex, how to discuss with patients, sequelae and harm reduction approaches.

Francesco Tani DO, FASAM, AAHIVS is a primary care physician, addiction medicine and HIV specialist working in Chicago. Dr Tani is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed a Family Medicine residency at the Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, CA. Dr Tani also completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago IL. Dr Tani practices at two FQHCs in Chicago, and has been faculty for the Addiction Medicine fellowship program at Rush University.
