Elise Wessol, DO
Carle Addiction Recovery Center		 Elise Wessol, DO, is a fellowship trained, board-certified addiction medicine physician practicing at Carle Addiction Recovery Center in Champaign, Illinois. She is board certified in family medicine and completed a family medicine residency at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign after completing medical school at AT Still University. She served as a Volunteer In Service To America (VISTA) at a healthcare for the homeless clinic in Casper, Wyoming through AmeriCorps. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison addiction medicine fellowship program. She now works in outpatient, inpatient, and mobile health care settings providing treatment for people with substance use disorders. She serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She is an ISAM board member and chairs the education committee. She is dedicated to providing education for clinicians, residents, and medical students in an effort to banish stigma, inform policy, and promote evidence-based treatment for people who suffer from the disease of addiction.
